Read MoreI first met Lee in 1968 when I got involved in the McCarthy campaign. I liked him at first sight. We were together in every campaign 1968-1972. Lee called me often through 2008, I called him a few times but lapsed after Trump was elected. It's 2023 and I see that he died in 2020. Awful on my part. My memories of Lee are all good ones, I am sorry that it's too late to talk again.

To Lee’s family:
I was a high school student who used to hang around the New Politics Corner in the 1968-1972 period. Lee was often there as this quiet, determined and often funny adult from whom I learned that a life in service to the public good is an honorable way to live. He has had a lasting impact on me. May memories of Lee be a blessing to you all.
