Yesterday I happened to say to my daughter Berit Laila : I wonder how Leif Østern is. "Google him" she said, and I did, and to my great surprise I saw that he had passed away 18 days earlier. I have so many happy recollections of him and his family!!

I am sorry to hear of Leif's passing. Leif would share stories of Norway with me, inbetween our classes at the YMCA. It was always a pleasure to see him at the Y.
