Liz Heinz contacted me regarding Lee passing away. I was sorry to see she didn't live to be 100. She had more energy than most her age.
I became acquainted with Lee at the Tillamook hospital gift shop. After volunteering a few months, she took me under her wing as assistant and eventually stepped down to let me become buyer. I learned so much from her and enjoyed our many buying trips to Seattle.

My condolences to Lee's family. Lee played a big part of making the Tillamook Hospital Volunteer Gift Shop what it is today. She could always come up with new ideas from her merchandise background. The gift shop idea for her began in 1979, and she continued her work for many years. I considered she and Dan as friends as I was a volunteer those years at the hospital. She will be missed.
