Read MoreLela was a true friend and lady. She had many friends at Arbor Manor who loved her. Lela s smile was so genuine. One of my memories of Lela are that when she lived here, at Arbor Manor, we would share celery. :)
One of my memories of her are many conversations about her family. Family meant the world to her.

I remember Lela being hesitant about speaking in church, but accepting the invitation nevertheless. Afterwards I was thinking "You would think that this lady speaks in public on a regular basis." Just one of the many talents that this lady had to offer. I am also grateful for the daughter she raised who married my friend Lamar Denna and changed his life. Rest in peace, Lela, the Lord is pleased with your efforts

Lela was a very dear woman that touched so many life's. I am so grateful to have her as a neighbor and dear friend of my family for so many years.We dearly loved her.I know she is having a wonderful reunion with all her loved ones family and friends.My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.She will be missed.Till we meet again my friend.

I loved Lela! I knew her at DUP and in the Turlock Ward. What a sweet lady; she deserves eternal rewards.
