Not sure what to say?

Leland Bennett was a gentleman - in every sense of the word. He made this world a better place. Jim and Marsha Miller

Enjoyed working with Leland at Summer Lyric. He was a good man and a fine musician. He will be missed and remembered. My condolences and prayers are with the family. God bless you all.

So many fond memories of him from Summer Lyric and Jubilation. Sincerest condolences.

I know this is a difficult time for your family but my heart and prayers go put to the Bennet and Roper family. We love you and are thinking about you during this difficult time

Maestro Leland was a true professional band leader and extremely generous and kind to me and my family. I've been knowing him since my early high school years, and will always remember his loving and guiding spirit and his legacy in Jubilation! Rest in peace, Leland.
With love and respect,

~ Matt Lemmler, New Orleans , Louisiana

Leland was a mentor and wonderful musical role model for me at Tulane. I will miss him. My best thoughts to his family and all of us in the "larger Tulanian family" who will miss him too

The world has lost a true gentleman, an amazing musician, a beloved friend, the best of what our profession (campus Student Union) aspires to, so very sad. May we hold dear the wonderful memories of this very gracious person.

With love, respect, and admiration to Leland's memory, his family, and all that he touched.

I offer my deepest sympathy to your family for your loss. Leland was a great friend and help me immensely during my time at Tulane. The years I spent in the Tulanians was one of the greatest times of my life and Leland made that time special. He will be missed and is in my thoughts and prayers.

Jubilation at KFC Convention-New Orleans (sometime in the mid-late 70's)

Leland will be sorely missed. Subbing occasionally for the Jube's drummer, Mike Palumbo and playing percussion (congas) on some of the bigger gigs, (especially the KFC convention-see pic) was always so much fun. I'll never forget the great hangs we all had and Leland made it possible. Rest in peace, my friend. 'Bobbo'
