Not sure what to say?

Uncle Evan,
Thank you for the glorious memories of the weekends and summers that I was able to spend with you on Grandma Brook's farm from 1947 thru 1951. Your mentoring and trust during my formative years are anchored in my soul. We worked a lot, but you would find a moment for fishing or the theater in Ferndale. Bless you
Your nephew, Dennis

Mr. Brooks was a great man and you couldn't do anything but respect and love him because that's what you got from him. He will be greatly missed.

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

Heaven will be that much better for his presence. One of my favorite teachers of all time. His knowledge base was broad, and his energy seemingly endless and contagious. I was proud to rep FFA judging hogs and sheep under his tutelage. Such a gift of a person. Don't think about too many of my high school teachers, but he comes to mind every now and again even all these years later. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Brooks.... I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Brooks when I was a student at Medical Lake HS....and then equally blessed by having him as a friend after graduation...all of us 'Alums' were that lucky! He kept us all in his heart and was pretty good at remembering our names. My fondest memories are the years at Medical Lake High School when Mr. Brooks was "Marryin' Sam" at the Sadie Hawkins dances. His true excitement for life and what every new day...

Ila Van Stone and I appreciate the special time we had with Evan and Jean while square dancing. A supportive, caring couple that will live in our memory forever. Chuck Van Stone

Thank you Mr. Brooks for your compassionate leadership.

You were such a great man and mentor. I always looked forward to seeing you and your yard sales and talking about high school and all the stories you shared. I will miss you Mr.Brooks catch a big one for me!

Jim and I am so glad we got to visit with you and Mrs Brooks when we were up there last. You meant so much to Jim. You were a great teacher and father figure for him when we were going to school up there. You won't be forgotten Mr Brooks.
