Not sure what to say?

Leland and I attended Hillcrest Elementary School. He must have been kind to a tall lanky girl as I have thought about him over the years. R.I.P. Leland

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Leland was one of the very first people I met when beginning my job in College Communications in 2004. I thought, If there are more people like Leland here, I'm never leaving. Always the first with a big Leland smile and hello, he remembered me and my name from the first introduction. I learned everything I know about Davidson, the college and the town, from him. Because of his amazing storytelling abilities, I am able to remember all he said. With a smile. And a chuckle. Leland enriched...

Rest In Peace Leland, along with Elizabeth Copeland in library heaven. Through the NC Library Association, the two of you inspired a generation of librarians. I was fortunate to have been one of them. It was through my work under her that I came to know you. Although one never doubted your priority, Davidson you were a loyal friend to all libraries everywhere. My sincere thanks and condolences to your family, many friends and to my librarian generation.

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

One of greatest humans I have ever encountered and all my brothers at the SAE house have lost a great advisor and dear friend. Peace and grace to the family

In the mid-1970's' when I was director of
the Rowan County Library in North Carolina,
I met and became friends with Dr. Leland Park. His professional advice and guidance
were very much appreciated by this brand new
library director, still learning "the ropes."
I have never forgotten you or the help you
provided me, Leland. Rest easy, my friend.

We have been so blessed to have had the friendship of Leland. Sara Lee handled Government Documents for 20 years while Leland was director of E.H. Little Library. We will miss his laughter and guidance. He was a one of a kind and great person. Will always be remembered and missed.

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May prayers strengthen you and memories comfort you, and may our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loves us, comfort your hearts and "make you firm". (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17)
