Not sure what to say?

Hi Ruth,
Of my fathers friends, you and Lee were always one of my favorites to visit. I still remember as a young boy visiting your home and cutting grass on your riding lawn mower or taking off for a ride on your motorcycle. I'll never forget his friendly smile and warm personality and I'm glad I had the opportunity to know both of you for most of my life. I'll miss Lee, but when I think of the two of you, it always makes me smile.

Living Spirit Dishgarden

Ruth, I'm so sorry to hear about Lee. He had so many friends and will be missed by many. My Dad always thought so much of Lee. Our condolences to you. I'm sure he's at peace now. Take care.

Knowing him only in my youth, Leland was one of the most generous neighbors I’ve ever had. He and Ruth were instrumental in helping my Family create and maintain an orchard in the 1980s and 1990s, especially helping out upon my Father’s early death in 1992. I have often told friends, colleagues, and now my sons how family farming in Missouri was accomplished by communities of selfless neighbors, and Leland has always been the very first example I give.
