Not sure what to say?

To all who have shared their stories about my father the best man in this world, thank you so much and I wish for you to have the best life you can. We will always miss him every day and I do miss him, I cry at least once or twice almost every week. But we have to keep moving forwards because my daddy has always taught me to keep going and trying after you have trouble with something. And Semper Fi! To everyone!

I remember when my heroic father DJ would play a game called trapper with me and my little brother before he passed. I will always love and miss you Daddy! Love Squiggy

DJ was always kind, quick with a smile, and could always make you laugh. I am so very saddened by this astounding and tragic loss. I will keep you all, DJ’s family and friends, in my thoughts and prayers.

To DJ`s wife, children, and the Bruce family, I was very saddened to hear of DJ`s passing, especially due to the tragic circumstances. I was one of DJ`s English teachers at Klein Oak, and I remember him well as a very upbeat and gentlemanly young man. That he became a marine and a fire investigator came as no surprise to me as he always seemed to be oriented toward being of service to others. To DJ`s wife and children and family members, I`m very sorry for your loss.

Bruce it was a joy working with you, I will miss the long conversations about school. You will be missed but not forgoton.

My prayers goes out to the family of the Bruce Family. He will truly be missed. Employer of the Houston Arson Division.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I want to say it was a blessing to know and work along side of DJ. He was a very good investigator and friend, He will be missed.

DJ Bruce was the Captain of our police academy BPOC 284. He was such a great person and always helped everyone. Rest easy Bruce.
