Not sure what to say?

I got to know Lem through my membership in the Pro Duffers. He set the standard, as far as I'm concerned, for dignity, grace, courtesy and consideration. He was a gentleman. I also appreciated that he was never reluctant to express his opinion, even if it wasn't popular. Many's the time I found myself asking "what would Lem do" in a particular situation. I'm going to miss him a lot, and want to extend my condolences to his family for their loss.

Keith and Jackie,
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Mr. Osborne was an indelible figure in the lives of so many students at Manassas High School. He was intelligent, kind-hearted, respected, a great leader, a gentleman, role-model, and Christian. I and my two sons were blessed to have known him as our principal and assistant principal. May God bless and give you peace in your memories of him. Donna Claxton-Giles (Manassas '73)

I would like to express my condolences to the Osborne family. He was my principal at Sherwood Jr High and he was also my mom's teacher at Douglass High School. A great man that will be truly missed.

I had a wonderful conversation with Mr. Osborne while he was picking his medication up at Walgreens, and we talked about education and my time period at Sherwood Jr., still giving knowledge to a adult male like myself... It was great to be student under his watch. My Love to His Family

I WANT TO EXPRESS MY SYMPATHY TO THE OSBORNE FAMILY. IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR MR.OSBORNE I WOULDN'T HAVE GRADUATED IN 1974. I WAS EXPERIENCING A BULLY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD I LIVED IN AND HE MADE SURE I GOT HOME FROM SCHOOL EVERYDAY. HE WAS A VERY GOOD PRINCIPAL AT MANASSAS. HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED.

I enjoyed being in the company of Lem. My experiences with Lem were mostly during golf outings and believe me, some of them were memorable. The one that comes to mind every time I think about Lem is the Jamacian experience where Lem actually knocked 7-8 consecutive balls into the crud while trying to knock his ball across a hazard onto the green on a par 4. He ended up with a double bogey (ha). I laughed so hard the remainder of the round,I ended up shooting over par for the round myself.
