Not sure what to say?

I am currently writing a book about my life story. Mr. Clarke, as my coach in regular season and All-star season baseball from 1982 to 1984, was, by far, not only the most influential coach I ever had, but one of the most influential individuals of my entire life. He taught me about more than baseball, he taught me about life. I left Oregon after 1984 All-star season with Mr. Clarke's team, and I have not been back to Oregon since. But the impact on my life moving forward is indelible.

Mr. Clarke had a lasting impact on my life. I played in Little League baseball for his regular season team in 1982 and 1983. And, I played for his Babe Ruth All-Star team in the Summer of 1984. Mr. Clarke always encouraged me and taught me so much about the game of baseball and life. To this day, I have never met anyone that understood the game of baseball as much as Mr. Clarke. Even after I moved away to Massachusetts in 1984, Mr. Clarke wrote to me and encouraged me when I was diagnosed...

I was thinking of coach today and wanted to let the family know how much Len meant to me. I played soccer with Scott and Len and Mitch were our coaches. They took a shy kid who had a terrible experience in baseball the year before and instilled a confidence in me that was amazing. I was so excited to see them in the summer when another season rolled around. Len was more than just a coach, he was a mentor who knew how to get the best out of everyone. I am grateful that I was fortunate...

I knew the family when our families were in Shanghai. Lenny was three and
I was eighteen. Our parents were friends. His Dad was the manager of the America
Club. We did see them when they came to Portland Oregon. That was our home town.

Patti and family, It was such a privilege to know and work with Len. He brought a smile and unwavering enthusiasm to each and every day. May his love keep you going through the tender days ahead.

DURING HIGH SCHOOL, LEN WAS A SMILING CLASSMATE . WHEN I THINK OF LENNY, I REMEMBER THE DEDICATION AND LOVE HE HAD FOR HIS HIGH SCHOOL. HE WAS CLASS PRESIDENT AND FRIEND TO ALL. HE MADE CERTAIN WE GATHERED FOR OUR REUNIONS AND THAT WE WERE ALL IMPORTANT PARTICIPANTS. I KNOW I JOIN ALL OF OUR CLASSMATES IN SAYING THANK YOU. YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED AND APPRECIATED.

For many years I had the pleasure of working with Len Clarke at Poorman-Douglas Corporation and Epiq Systems where Len served as our executive in charge of Sales and Marketing as well as client relationships. Len coached our staff in client outreach as enthusiastically as he coached baseball.

Len was unfailingly enthusiastic and never without a smile. He led our team to success in landing many sales and in fostering productive relationships with clients, many of whom became his...

My husband Tony played baseball for Len as a kid, after not seeing each other for years they reconnected in 2013.

Since then, Tony has really enjoyed having Len for baseball advice as Tony became a coach himself. They probably texted and emailed each other several times weekly. And on the summers that we vacationed in Portland, we made time to visit with Len and Patti. My son Jacob and Len's grandson, Ryan even became friends through those visits. There are memories of fishing,...
