Not sure what to say?

It would be more than difficult to think of my earliest memories of Bank Street without thoughts of the kind, encouraging, welcoming, and gentle countenance of Mother Lena Davis. It was if she "came with the church"!!! I join my family in extending warm thoughts and continued blessings to the entire Davis Family. May your peace rest in knowing that Mother Davis is, for sure, with our Lord ! Many blessings and God's unfailing favor,

Oh my. It hardly seems possible that nearly a year has gone by since Mrs. Lena Davis was called Home. We share your sense of loss, as we reflect on the "bigger than Life" presence that Mother Davis represented for so many of us. As we grew up in Bank Street Baptist, one could not reflect on anything that occurred, where Mrs. Davis was not there... she was simply "the essence of Bank Street". Her consistently pleasant, but, no nonsense demeanor demonstrated how we were to maintain agape love,...

My condolences for your lose. May the promise of everlasting life found at John 6:40 bring your family comfort and hope. Please accept my heartfelt symphony at this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss; please accept my deepest condolences in this difficult time of sorrow and may you find comfort knowing that all those who fall asleep in death are in God's memory (Psalms 116:15). My sincere regards, ~MM~

We have such wonderful and warm memories of Mrs. Davis and our neighborhood and church families!
Our sincere condolences to the Davis family. We know that each of you will forever cherish your memories of this kind and loving lady.

Peaceful Passage Arrangement

What cherished memories we have of Mrs. Davis over more years a situations than we can remember. Her kind and encouraging words made us feel more like "family" rather that friends and church-members. Whenever our thoughts return to Norfolk, your parents and family come to mind.May God continue to bless and keep each of you.

Grace, mercy, and peace to each of you, as these days of bereavement follow. May the tender memories shared so many also bring you much consolation. We would be hard-pressed to reflect on anything about Bank Street without instant reminders of Mrs. Davis' gracious manner and presence...she was always welcoming, kind, and such "a Lady". God bless you all.
