Good morning and thank you all for coming today.

Just about two years ago, when my mother was in the hospital for her gall bladder, the surgeon had come in to examine her. First he looked at her stomach, which looked like a roadmap due to the scars of several operations. Then he listened to her heart. He told her that she had a good heart.

Mike, I always enjoyed being with Lena at your family gatherings. She was so warm making me feel like one of the family. I will miss her company and let's not forget all the great dishes she prepared for the occasions. I know how much she liked to cook so I know she is probably preparing one of her special dinners for the angels in heaven right now.

Michael, I often times remember how after palying ball or just hanging out you and I would go over your house and Momma Lena would always have something good to eat there. I looked forward to her special blend of ice tea in the summer. I remember too how when my mother was sick and she would come by and bring one of her wonderful dishes for us to eat. She was a great lady, someone who brought things to this crazy world that everyone could use a little more of namely love, understanding and...

Dear Michael:
Joe and I will miss Lena very much. She was a pleasure to serve at our store. She was very kind and supportive to Mom (Cass Mauro) during her illness. Our Dad (Al Mauro) was very appreciative of her support. He never forgot it.
