Not sure what to say?

I was a student when I was young. In fact, I still have the costumes from my performances stored away, along with the lovely memories. Miss Lena brought out a sense of the joy of dancing, and taught this young girl about discipline and passion. May her soul be blessed. I will never forget her.

Lena-

Since the first time I met you, almost 20 years ago, you touched my heart in a very special way. I feel so blessed that we stayed in touch & were able to get together whenever I came into town. You always knew how to make me smile & thinking of you now, I still do. I am very thankful that I got to see you & say goodbye. You are an inspiration in every way!
Love & Miss you-
Rhonda

I am so sorry to learn of Lena’s passing, I was very fond of her and I had a lot of respect for her history and her ability to inspire so many who became professional dancers and teachers, including my Mom, Sherry Gold. The stories my mother told me about taking class from and performing always made me know that Lena was such an important part of how my mother became what she did.

Throughout the years we went back to visit and guest teach for Lena’s various summer programs. When I...

I am so sorry to learn of Lena's passing. My daughter, Amy Gratsch, spent many wonderful hours in Lena's studio and the Barn. Lena's warmth and enthusiasm created a life-long love of dance in my daughter. Lena will be missed. My deepest sympathy to your family.

Myself, and the Bohaty sisters are very sad to hear of Lena's passing. She always made me smile with her little sayings and stories in class. She will be remembered fondly.

Lena was a very fine lady and teacher who took her choice of teaching dance seriously. I had 3 daughters who went thru her studios and also took Ballet testing thru Checetti method. There is no one in Genesee county who can replace this fine teacher and she will be sadly missed by many who would like to learn dancing in its purest form.

I have many great memories of Lena, FBT, fellow dancers ...all which enriched my life immensely. Lena allowed me (& all the others) to be a part of ballet history...Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Coppelia, etc. I truly miss my "spot" at the back barre next to Jackie at Seifert's Barn. (where all the tall girls stood) I can only imagine what this perky lady with the endless energy is organizing in heaven... a great production, I am sure. My sympathy to Lena's family. Dear Lena,
First you were my teacher; then you were my friend. You taught me how to be the best dancer that I could be and in the process you also taught me how to be the best dance teacher that I could be. I think I have loved being a teacher as much as you did. I've had my own dance school for 50 years now and I still love it.
I'm going to miss our 'outings'.We went many places together and enjoyed every minute. You were a great teacher and a wonderful, fun friend. I know...

Deepest Sympathy to you Lisa and your entire family. We will all miss Lena and will always remember her in our prayers.
