Our kids will miss their Nonna. I am glad that I have had the past 2 years to see her every Sunday at 7:15 AM Mass. I will always look at that pew now and miss her.

I was a friend of the late Emily Shwalen when we attended Carondelet together, and afterwards, and as such, spent many happy hours at the Schwalen house in Walnut Creek. Later I kept in touch with her and with Lee and Clay when they lived in Concord. And later, with Lee, after Emily and Clay passed on.
