Rochester: Lena Eleanor Schwengel, 84, passed away peacefully at home with family on February 19, 2010, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Lena was the daughter of Idella (Henderson) and Walter Wyman; she was born and raised in Somersworth, NH on March 16, 1925. She was educated in Somersworth, NH and graduated from Somersworth High.

She was survived by her son, Michael Hinkle of Springdale AR, daughter, Jane Gadbois and son-in-law, Richard Gadbois, Sr. of Rochester, NH, son Lester Hinkle, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Millie Hinkle of Valley Center, CA, and daughter Cheryl Hinkle of Fayetteville, AR. She was also survived by four grandchildren, Richard Gadbois, Jr., Lori West, Jon Hinkle and Stephanie Carson and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Raymond Schwengel, long time companion.

She was predeceased by her husband, Al Schwengel, brothers, Thomas Wyman, Walter Wyman, Jr. and sisters, Thel Vollkommer and Idella Bragdon.

The family will be having a celebration of Lena’s life on Friday, February 26th starting at 6pm at the home of Jane and Richard Gadbois.

Lee; Mom had a good life, she lived a long time and was healthy and happy. I'm glad to say she didn't suffer a long painful illness. She was a mother, grandmother, sister and above all, a friend. She will be sorely missed.
