Our son William Brent Newberry was on of the 30 students that received the memorial scholarship at Citronelle High School in Citronelle, Al. We thank her and her family for their generosity. I enjoyed knowing your mother. She was a nice lady and easy to talk to. She gladly shared with me the figs and pears from the trees around her house on Madrid. My mother was from Alabama too (Roanoke) and died at age 93 in January 2014. I miss her as I'm sure you miss Femie. We left Universal City and moved into my mother's house later in 2014.

Don and Femie were close friends of Betty and myself. They both helped a lot of people, including myself. I know the Lord must have a special place for both of them. The family has my condolences during this trying time.
