Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Braverman was my 8th grade English teacher at Shell Bank IS 14 in Brooklyn. Very proper. Very intelligent. Her class made me feel like I was capable of so much. I'm now an educator of almost 30 years and I thank her for being an inspiration. May her memory be a blessing.

How wonderful to see that she was a fan of the puzzarelli family - john and Bucky / Lenore sounded like a great fun woman and my condolences to her family - Mary Pizzarelli

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Dear Ernie, Peter, and Jessica,   We were sorry to hear of Lenore´s death.  Rob and Judy provided a nice report of the service, especially of the wonderful eulogy by Peter that seemed to capture her so well.  And this obituary is so lovely and so Lenore-- especially the fact that we all have to go and look up "cruciverbalist!"  Fond memories of our times at the Vineyard-great desserts and Lenore´s wonderful stories and big laugh.  I trust your deep well of memories will bring you comfort in...

To Ernie and the Braverman family. My condolences for your loss of Lenore. She lived a life worth living. I was a Lincoln teacher and a Belle Harbor resident. Sincerely, Michael RADEZKY

I loved Lenore. She was so much more than just a colleague of mine. We worked very closely together at Lincoln for several years. I had lost my own mother shortly before meeting her and she became my surrogate mom. She was a person that always inspired me and someone I aspired to be like. We had a great time creating the first, and I believe, the only Abraham Lincoln H.S. cookbook. I will miss her terribly.

In 1991 I was appointed as Principal of Abraham Lincoln High School, a great honor. As I looked over the names of my new staff , I thought one looked very familiar. On my first day I knocked on the door of her classroom and was quickly greeted with, "Yes, it is I, Mrs. Braverman, your junior high English teacher!" I knew then that I had inherited a staff of New York City´s finest professionals. Martin P. Kopelowitz
