Not sure what to say?

I was a member of the 1955, 1956, and 1957 Winchester High School hockey teams with Leo, our leader. We lived close to each other in Winchester, he on Pond Street and I on Woodside Road. Leo was a great inspiration to me during those years and during our meetings in Maine and Winchester in the years since. I will miss talking with him and remembering the great times with Mike Murphy, Wayne Cowles, Richie Johnson and Tommie Sawyer, and Frank Finnegan. We accomplished a state championship,...

To Stig, Vigdis, and all of Leo's family, I offer my condolences as a non-related family member. I have to say that if there was a set of standards, or a manual for coaching youth sports, Leo would be the author. While many men become coaches and coach as if they still have a helmet on, Leo was far more concerned with the development of character and, as he said, "Esprit de corps", that made a team more than the sum of its parts. My condolences to the entire family. I am sorry for your loss, but glad he can now rest in peace. God Bless you all.

When I served in the NH House of Representatives, Leo was a kind and steady presence in the House Clerk's office, always willing to help out. We will miss you, my friend!

To the Callahan family. So sorry to hear of Leos passing.l didnt know Leo that well but well enough of his days working at the Dover Arena was that what stood out to me about Leo was his friendly personality, his very strong work ethic well into his seventies, and his love for his partner, Lucci. Rest In Peace Leo. And thank you. The arena was lucky to have you stop by on your very impressive journey. Barry (Irish) Riordan

My Thoughts and Prayers go out to Leo, Family and Friends. A Member of the first NEC Hockey Team I have such fond memories of how he was not only a coach but a Great friend to me. His knowledge not only taught me to be a competitor in Sports but also in Life. Thank You Leo and so does all the NEC Athletic Nation. God Bless You and May You Rest In Peace. Bill Whittemore
