Not sure what to say?

I met Leo thru a mutual contractor 23 years ago. Through the years we had several conversations of an eternal nature. Leo was a true disciple of Christ and his good heart was a blessing to me. We had deep respect for each other and I always got excited when I saw his name pop up on my phone. His charitable heart will live on in my heart. I will pray for peace with his family. Doug Horsley

To the Carlton Family, My very deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Leo was the last of the group of Army buddies that also included my Dad. Every Christmas, Leo would make his annual call to my Dad reminiscing about the days they served in the Army. After the call ended, my Dad would tell our family all about their days in the Army, how much he thought of Leo, and how he hoped he could see him again. Leo didn't know it, but he was a big part of our Christmas tradition at the...

I always enjoyed talking to Leo. He was such a great guy! I loved his knowledge and grasp of local history - of the community that Collins Memorial UMC is a part of, and also of the unique history of Collins. I also appreciated his expertise as chair of the trustees of the church. He was a great guy to know and speak with, a friend, and church member.

To all who read this short remembrance of Leo, and all will agree. "A better Man I never had the privilege of knowing. He was good, and giving to the core. Always caring. Only good memories to comfort us. That is our reassurance he is with the Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus. Amen? Amen! Leo. We loved you then and we love you now! John And Dale Watkins.

'Pop' as we called him, always felt much closer than a brother-in-law. Pam would always address him as 'Brother'. Our girls always thought of he and Nana as the grandparents they never go to know. He and Jane have always been the steadfast foundation to the family that we always admired and looked up to. I am sure Pam was there to welcome him to Heaven with a 'HEY POP' and big hug. She, like all of us, loved him so much. We will miss him each day and Never forget him. Till I see you...

Heaven has gained a special Angel! Pop was not only an amazing uncle but a role model husband who cared deeply for my Nana. He will be greatly missed, but we will hold him in our hearts forever until we meet again.

Pop was always like an older brother to me. Pam always called him 'Brother'. I know Pam was there to meet him at the Gates of Heaven with a hug and greeting "Hey Brother". We loved this man with all our hearts. He will be so missed but never forgotten. Our girls and grand kids always thought of he and Nana as grandparents they never got to know. We love you Pop!
