Not sure what to say?

I met Leo at the VFW several years ago.He was such a kind man and we became friends.I truely enjoyed listening to his stories about the war and his family (He loved you so much). And how he talked about his sweet wife and how he missed her! Thank God they are together again, and now are watching us. I will never forget him. Thanks for sharing,Kevin Holtorf

Leo: I ditto Paula Meyer's message. Wow, this goes back to the late 60s and 70s and all of the fun Mom and Dad (Hank and Corinne Meyer) had entertaining you and Josh --- I can just hear Josh's laugh and strong Eastern brogue. You will always be in my thoughts -- all of the jokes, laughs we had for many years.
Kathy: My prayers are with you and the family. I am happy to know that Leo is back home now and that all of the memories will never die or be forgotten.
Love, Kathy...

Leo was a remarkable man and a true gentleman. He used to come to the VFW to hear me sing with River City Jazz Orchestra and I always enjoyed talking with him. His appreciation of my music always made it feel worthwhile to be there, no matter what the size of the crowd. If Leo was there, that was all that mattered! His deep love for his wife and family was apparent in his conversations; I only wish I had known him longer. He was one of the "special people" that really stay with you forever.

Dear Uncle Leo:
I do cherish thoes many summers spent in Minnesota, with you and my wonderful grandparents. May God be with you, and you will always be in my thoughts.. THANKS for the memories.

Leo will be deeply missed. He was always there with a smile and a greeting...always there to encourage and help in any way he could. He has a good soul. I am honored to have known him.

I will never forget the many nights of conversation and wisdom Leo and I shared, I was honored to know such a Brave, Honorable and intelligent man. I loved his stories. Especially the one about his dog, he shared old photos with us. I am going to miss him very much. God has you now "sir"

Dear Leo,
How you will be missed. The love of your life has been waiting to hold you again. The memories and laugh that you had shared with the family cannot be replaced nor will they be forgotten. When grandpa passed you became grandpa. Know that you are loved and missed beyound anything you can imagine. Please hug grandpa Meyer for me and know that we are smiling for the memories that you have left for those still behind. Love you grandpa Leo.

Leo was a good and kind man with a great sense of humor. We shared stories and laughs after Sunday Mass for almost 30 years.
He would always attend Mass in the very back pew of the church. On some Sundays, after I had finished leading the rosary, he'd lean over and say "thank you" and then we'd hello eachother with a handshake and a smile. Leo valued kindness and spirit highly. He spoke well of everyone, and occasionally reminded me that he still prayed for my parents many years after...

To the family of Leo,
There are so many memories of Leo, his smile and zest for life ws always a pleasure. Sitting with him, listening to his stories of the time he spent in the war, and especially the time he and Tommy Cashman came to our cabin to surprise my grandfather. When my grandfather passed Leo took the roll of grandfather for me and my sister as well as embracing my daughter everytime he saw us. It breaks my heart to have to say goodbye to another that was so loved by more...
