Our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Leo Florkowski. My mother Lillian Jankowski Hiser was Leo's cousin, and she often held Leo up as an example to me during my childhood. She recognized the values that guided Leo and encouraged her children to note his good example. His influence was of clear benefit to family, friends and students throughout his life. What a wonderful testament to a life well-lived!

My sympathies and condolences go out to you. as a former student and member of member of his cross-country team, I am saddened with his passing. He was a wonderful man and mentor throughout those years. He had a subtle way of presenting life lessons that I still hold true. He will be missed.

Mr Florkowski was my favorite high school teacher. i loved the way he engaged with us students and really got to know us as individual people. I was in his 1982 American History class; and he made learning so fun and I couldn´t wait to get to his class! he really made me enjoy learning and to continue on in Education. I´ve always wanted to express to him the positive impact he had on me for a life time. Rest in complete peace Mr Florkowskiyou were truly an Angel here on Earth
