Dear Genua family:
Leo was one of the most memorable shopkeepers of my youth, late 1950s. He was an incredibly kind and patient man. He was way ahead of the industry in recognizing the Japanese brands emerging post-war, and - despite the Cold War - saw the merit of pioneering East German brands like Exakta, pioneer of the single-lens reflex. I last saw Leo in probably 2007 when I stopped at his shop while driving through Easton. I was sad to see how diminished his shop was by...

Going to Easton Camera Center and being served by Mr. Genua was almost a Christmas tradition for my Father and I back in the 50s. I was always enthralled by all of the good merchandise. And Mr. Genua was unfailingly polite and helpful, patiently explaining all of the features of a particular item. The most memorable purchase, if memory serves, was a big "console" Voice of Music AM/FM/phonograph which adorned my parents "front room" for over a generation. Condolences and sympathy to the...

i often ran errands with my Dad downtown as a child and among my favorites was going to Easton Camera. Always enjoyed going in the store to drop off film or pick up pictures and seeing Mr. Genua. I was sad to hear of the store closing, as i am to hear of his passing. my deepest sympathies go to his family.

To the Genua Family: Deepest sympathy to all of you on the death of your dad. I played the organ at St. Jane's for many years when Mr. Genua was the choir director. He was an enthusiastic leader, very dedicated to worshiping God, and a lot of fun! Mrs. Genua sang alto, and of course, Brenda sang, too, and she was a gift of God with her wonderful voice. Giving thanks to God for Mr. Genua's life and praying for all of you as you say goodbye to him. Dave and Michelle Zimmerman

Dear Genua Family:
I offer to all of you my condolences and sympathy at this sad time. I remember Leo well during the years I lived at St. Francis Friary, in Easton. Leo was truly a good, gentle, Christian man. I always enjoyed my conversations with him. Be assured of my prayers for his soul, and for all of you. May his memory be a blessing to all of us. Cherish the memories.
