Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the LaRocca family. I was a former student in his early morning economics class...and was always the perfect start to a my long day at SI. He was a tower of a man, selfless and incredibly kind. We were treated as men in his class and he would indulge the fascination in all of our young minds, even humor us when we asked him to prove he could rip up a 3" phone book in half. Even though he shared he would be sore for a week...he did it. He didn't need to but in the end, we...

I, and my family, especially Alicia Pinto, send to the La Rocca family our most sincere condolences on the passing of Leo. Our Lord saw fit to call him Home on the feast of the Apostle Andrew. Mr. Leo LaRocca was similarly an apostle of faith, hope , and love. What a beautiful day to enter in God´s glory. May the joy and peace now experienced by Leo shed a blanket of consolation over all his children and grand children, especially his dear wife! We remain united in prayer for all of you and...

I wonder if there was any connection. Though I never knew Leo, if he was anything like Rocky he must have been an absolute gem to those who did. Perhaps they'll meet in the Great Beyond and share some terrific sea stories. Dennis Francis...

The Giusti family & O'Balle family fondly remember Leo.

We have missed Leo and Kappy at the river on Bay Avenue over the last few years. My condolences to the LaRocca family. From The Twins on Bay... Kris and Kathy Bauer.

Will greatly miss Mr. Leo LaRocca, an incredible person. Immensely enjoyed his SI economics class and his stewardship of SI sports, especially Track and Field. We often conversed at the San Francisco downtown Olympic Club. Last saw the gentleman at a NCAA basketball tournament at Chase Center.
