Not sure what to say?

My prayers go out to you, Leo, and to your family.

LEO!! I actually called out your name and loud in my car after I heard the news last year. I still in my mind call out your name in memory of you as a unique individual, and a man loved by so many. Rest in peace my friend.

I am so shocked and very sorry that you are gone, Leo.

I'm an old friend of his, his neighbor from North Beach. I've missed hanging out with him and his dog Sweetie.

If someone would please let me know what happened, I would appreciate it. Thank you

I knew Leo since the first grade at St Vincent De Paul and then later at SI. I recall a wonderful childhood growing up in the Marina and Leo was big part. Even though I had not seen Leo in several years, I will remember him as a tremendous athlete, accomplished traveler and kind friend. When I heard the news, I was very saddened, but heartened by the fact that he touched so many lives. He will be missed!

When our children were at St. Vincent de Paul, I don't think I can recall seeing Annette without little Leo holding tightly on to her hand. We, moms, would hold our conversations, and he would always stand by politely, as quiet as a little mouse.
I saw him again at SI when we were having a bake sale. He was now taller than me, but still the very quietly polite young man. Others were jostling and pushing to get to the best cupcakes and cookies, but he courteously waited his turn.

I opened up my "SI Genesis" issue today and learned of your loss. I remember Leo from SVDP as well as when all of us were young children growing up in the Marina. While no words can lessen the pain, please know that your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Melissa, I so remember your little brother from SVDP, and I am so deeply sorry to hear about this. My prayers are with you and I will light a candle for Leo.

Also an outstanding surfer! Still had the pintail shape from the 70's. The waves will always miss you as well as those of us in the line-up and I will miss your surf reports from La Rocca Seafoods.

To the Lippi Family
We just found out about Leo and his passing.
There is not much anyone can say to ease the pain that your family is under. All you can say is that Leo is in a happier place. Leo and the Lippi Family are in our thoughts and prayers.
