Not sure what to say?

Thank you Leo, I was only 15 at that time, but I and William, my husband will remember as long as we live.

Proud Son of Léo Major, DCM & Bar

I want to thank everyone for all the kind words to my family. In my father's eyes, the city of zwolle was part of a second family. He loved everyone of you.
Daniel-Aimé Major, Léo's son.

Leo Major is a very special man for us all. Going alone to Zwolle, knowing his friend Willy Arsenault was killed by German fire, was an act of great importance for the city of Zwolle. Leo, on behalve of my parents and the rest of my family, thank you very much!

In a farwell to Leo Major we celebrate his life as a soldier who believed in and almost died for the liberation of Europe and my city Zwolle. When I saw him enter my beloved city in 1945, I was 12 years old and he became my instant hero.To the family and friends of this fine human being I express my deep sorrow.

I offer you my condolences with the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. I am constantly reminded of a generation of selfless young men that gave so much for the fight against wrong. Leo is very much a figure of those men. He made a real difference with his life. We thank him for it!

Léo, For me you where an incredible man. You teach me what is honesty and respect. You teach me to always think of the others before doing any action. You where not only my father but the best father I could possibly imagine. Thank you to have been such a great presence in my life.
