Mr. Matzke will forever be my hero. He allowed me, in my senior year of high school, to be on his varsity soccer team. I was still physically unstable with my own medical battles and he allowed me to be part of the team (despite that I was not a super star by any stretch of the imagination). As the years passed, I would constantly run into him while I was working or walking around Oneida and he always had a big smile and hug for me. A true blessing of a human being on this Earth. Mr Matzke was my 6th grade teacher, he was known by many , and will be truly missed , fly high Mr M , until we meet again, Thank you for all you did for so many , you touched many lives, and your mark will be permanently etched in our hearts, Deepest sympathy to his Family, God Bless!

Mr. Matzke filled my heart with joy and laughter. As a child growing up, he was always there for me and my dad and brothers. When my dad worked at Willard prior, he gave us shelter. A house to live at and would come by to talk laugh and have dinner with us. When he worked at camp lookout I would come to him, he taught me how to use the bow and arrow, helped me with basketball as he was a coach, and much more. He let us stay longer at camp lookout then the regular week because all we had was...

Will never forget Mr Matzke as my 6th grade teacher at Willard Prior. He left a mark on me and sure to many others. Great guy. So sorry to the family.

May his family find solice in his devotion to them, his love of community and .his faith in God.

It was such a treat to know Mr. Matzke. I remember our religious education class back in the day and all the good times at the Oneida Legion also. You will be missed by all the lives you touched over the years.

We thank God for Leo's time with us on earth, he was a true friend. To all of the family and friends, our deepest condolences and prayers to all during your time of grief.

Leo was my 6th grade teacher at willerd prior in oneida.i remember leo played basketballwith me and charlie franklin at the old sconadoa park near the old loosemans store and gas station leo was always goog to me growing up in the flats in oneida ny R.I.P.mr matzki thanks forthe memories it was fun back then godbless the matzki family
