Not sure what to say?

Leo and I covered each other's surgical practice on weekends and holidays. I was so lucky to have such a wise and talented colleague. His patients loved and admired him. Bev and I extend our condolences to his wonderful family. Jerry and Bev Young

Dr. McCallum operated on me for appendicitis on March 6, 1979 as I was 34 weeks pregnant. My daughter was born the next day and a rollercoaster of events followed. Dr. McCallum saved my life and I want to express my sincere condolences to the family. He took on a challenge and I will always be grateful.

Hard to believe that you're gone. The OR lounge will always have a seat for you, if you decide to drop in and tell one of your stories.

I'm so sorry that I didn't get to say "good bye". I didn't know that you were upstairs until it was too late.

You will be missed! We'll keep you in our memories. Rest in peace.

I was a freshman at Yale in 1956; Leo was the advisor for the 3rd floor suites in Wright Hall. I have nothing but fond memories of the advice he offered us neophytes. I was interested in Medicine so Leo took me to the medical school to view his prosections for the following day's first year medical students. Joe Twichell

Leo was a good friend and colleague to my late husband, Hugh Hunt. We spent some pleasant hours together discussing Yale's football team and all things Yale. He was a good man.

Dr. McCallum came into the Medical Library at MWMC every day. I always enjoyed speaking with him and learning the most interesting facts from him. We miss seeing you at "your" spot at the front table there.
