MCCRAY, Leo S. "Sonny" Jr. - Of Burton, age 61, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Will Carter officiating. Per his wishes, cremation will take place following the service. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation 12-8PM Monday and 11AM until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Leo was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of Leo S. Sr. and Gladys A. (Pully) McCray. He married Barbara Jean Karas on September 3, 1966 in Flint. He served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Leo especially loved bowling, he bowled for the Metropolitan Bowling League for 20 plus years with perfect attendance. His highest achievement was a 300 game while bowling on the Optimist League and enjoyed all other sports. Leo presently worked for the Flint Institute of Arts. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; son, Jerome and wife Debra McCray of Indiana; daughter, Marcie McCray and Mike Burene of Burton; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sister, Peggy Ishmael of Indiana; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
