Leo Schaffer

When I was about ten and visiting on the farm, Leo had me drive the tractor pulling a hay rake to put the hay into nice rows so it could be baled. He liked the way I was doing it so he took off to do something else. It was a big field so going round and round became boring. So I put the petal to the metal and finished the field in record time. It was the end of the season so the equipment was put into storage. The next season I went to his farm again and immediately he let me know how...

Leo was a dear neighbor to us and the loving father of our two friends, Dave and Richard. He was a good man and always interesting to visit with. We extend our condolences to the Schaffer family.

Leo was the uncle closest to my age so I always felt closer to him and and thought of him as a brother. As a kid I did work for him on the farm. He is a good man and will be missed by many. He is in the prayers of my wife and I.

Deloria and family, our thougths and prayers are with you at this time. We all know he is at peace and no more suffering. I am sure everyone was happy to see him in heaven and having a good old time "the polish way". Polish National Alliance (PNA) Lodge 3193 will miss him.
