Not sure what to say?

I am very sorry to hear of Leo's passing last September. I am equally sorry that we were not aware at the time so my wife and I could pay our respects in person. Leo's mother Emma was my mother's (Clara Knoblauch Vehlber) first cousin. So Leo was a cousin of mine. I remember visiting 'Aunt Emma' as a little boy. Leo was the same age as my age as my dad. He lived at home with 'Aunt Emma' until he married Leona. I remember attending their wedding. After my mother passed, I used to take my Dad...

Les Young and Leo Schneider. July 1936

Leo and my Dad, Richard Leslie Young (Les) were lifelong friends, since the age of 4 years old. Leo and Leona and my Mother and Dad enjoyed a great friendship. My Dad died in 1980. My Mother continued to keep in touch with Leo and Leona until her death 9 years ago. Since then I've called and visited with Leo and Leona several times. The last time was about a year ago and after Leona has passed. I was amazed at how young and active Leo was the last time I saw him. He even fixed me a...

I grew up on Avondale. If there was one word to describe Leo Schneider it would be "gentleman". A second word would be dignified. As an adult I continued to live on Avondale and it brought a smile each time I would see him out on his bicycle, riding the streets of S. Euclid. He continued that practice into his 80's.

We will all remember him fondly.

I'll miss you Leo. You were a great friend and next door neighbor when you lived on Avondale Road in South Euclid.
I'll always remember our trips to the different parks and eating ice cream. Jeffrey loved you when he was growing up. Thank you for the memories.

I was saddened to read of Leo's passing. My mom and dad, Mary Ellen & Gerard Bruening were good friends of Leo and Leona from, I believe St. Al's. I remember Leo as a quiet and gentle man, and someone who always remembered me regardless of how long it had been since I had seen him. Leo and Leona, along with several other couples, belonged to a dinner club with my parents in later years. It would be nice to think of them all together again.

Sorry to hear about Leo's passing. He was a quiet, gentle and wonderful man. As a boy I lived a few doors down Avondale and shoveled snow and did other tasks for Leo and Leona. Both were very special people.
