Not sure what to say?

Mr Tarpey, as I address him before we ordered 2nd drink, LEO was a lawyer, mentor & supporter for me. In 1973, I had responsibility of insurance defense in Chicago area; and, by 1982 Leo wrote to CA Santa Clara Law School a letter in support of my admission. I was not admitted but remember FONDLY the receipt of cc letter. It was touching & honest; I still have the cc as my life treasure of friends.

Dear Tarpey Family,
I just received my copy of the Loyola magazine and read of Leo's passing. you have my deepest sympathy. Leo and I grew up about five houses apart from each other. I was three years ahead of him at St. Catherines and at Fenwick. It has been years, but I thought of him often and about what a wonderful person he was. He was always interested and concerned about others. He will be in my prayers.

Cathy: Patty and I extend our deepest sympathies to you and your entire fantastic family for the loss of a truly wonderful man. I fondly remember your visits to California as well as my visit to your home in Barrington. Leo will be missed by many.

Cathy, Jim and I will never forget our good times together. Leo was one of a kind and the two of you were a real team. He loved you very much. I personally loved our famous debates after dinner as we'd all sit around discussing the issues of the day. He was a great guy and we know you'll miss him a great deal. Hopefully time will help you but during this time, our thoughts and prayers are with you, Cathy. Love, Audrey and Jim Oliphant

Dear Tarpey Family,
