Leo Weiner

My wife and I met Leo on his trip to Australia in 1999. We had fun on the tour with him. And we actually climb the famous Sydney Harbor Bridge together - when he was 86!

We stayed in touch over the intervening years. We continue to visit him in Florida, and even saw him a few more times when he returned to Erie.

Leo really left a good impression on us. We will remember, yet miss him.

Leo Weiner was a great Dad of a friend who always had a smile for us. I remember him with fondness.

I am a young man and a member of St. Stanislaus Church. I didn't know your family, but I have done research on the history of Erie Polonia, and know the Weiner name. It is amazing that your father, Leo, was the eldest son of the late Bernard Weiner, founder of our Erie Polish Paper, Trybuna Polska. I am just sorry that I never had the chance to interview him. What a proud family history you have. Please accept my condolences.
