Mr. Leo Hazen Wilson, 92, of Bow, died at his home on Nov.14, 2009.
He was born in Tilton on Nov. 4, 1917 the son of Hazen and Rosa (Ledoux) Wilson.
Leo was raised in Tilton and graduated from Tilton Prep in 1936. Mr. Wilson later resided in Portsmouth, Concord, Loudon, Belmont, and Gilford. He also lived in Ocala, FL for a time returning to live in Maidstone, VT and Tilton before moving to Bow last April.
He was employed at Page Belting in Concord for 32 years prior to retiring. Leo was a former communicant of St. Joseph Church in Belmont.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine (Pease) Wilson who died in 1999 and a daughter, Lisa Bourque who died in 1997. He was the last of ten siblings.
Family members include his wife, Arlene (Lessard) Paine Wilson of Bow, 2 sons: Vernon Wilson & his wife Susan, and Russell Wilson & his wife Susan, all of Loudon, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. 9 Stepchildren: Sue Lowe & husband Dick of Ct.; Linda Bohrer & husband Gary of Grantham; Mark Paine of Sunapee; Gary Nelson & wife Diane of Rochester; Cathy Orff & husband Alan of Raymond; Mitch Paine & wife Annette of Laconia; Bonnie Waldron & husband Chris of MA; Janice Bagley & husband Ross of Moultonborough; and Todd Paine and companion Don Leavitt of VT; 14 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Leo's life will be held at the home of his son, Vern and Susan Wilson, 13 Lesmerises Rd., Loudon, on Monday, Nov. 16th at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Tilton.
