Funeral for Leon Bishop, 75, of Hartselle will be Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carold Hall officiating.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Bishop died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born June 11, 1932, in Iuka, Miss., to Charlie Bishop and Louella Slater Bishop.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Crow and Leon Bishop Jr.; two daughters, Lisa Homan and Mathena Bishop; one brother, Donald Larry Bishop; two sisters, Moselle and Eula MaeMorgan; and four grandchildren.

Family of Leon, I just want to extend my sympathy to you in the passing of Leon, I have known Leon for many years, he serviced my car at Blackwood Shell. I wish I had known where he was the last few months and I would have visited him. He truly loved his children and the rest of his family.

Mr. Bishop was my dad's room mate at Sunbridge Nursing home. All of my family really loved Mr. Bishop. He watched over my dad like he was his own brother. I have talked, prayed and laughed with Leon for the last 7 months and my dad and my family will miss him very much. At least we know he is pain free now. He had been in terrible pain for months.
Mr. Bishop~ we love you and will miss you! May you rest in Peace!
