Not sure what to say?

Lion was a Michigan Dental School classmate of my husband,Ted Maude, in the Class of 1956. I was a Dental Hygiene student, Class of 1954. My husband and I considered Leon a good friend...such a good friend that he often went on our dates with us. My husband was 6 feet 2 and a former athlete. Leon loved to punch him in the shoulder and say "Take that!" and Ted would reply, " Did you tap, Leon?" Then Leon would turn to me and ask "How do you put up with this big ape?" And then we all...

Martin, we recently met you over dinner at Leo's Restaurant. We really enjoyed meeting you, and spending the evening with you. We want to extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of your dear father for whom you cared for so lovingly. May God comfort you and give you his peace.

Leon Blum was and will always be my only beloved uncle. I wish to express our family´s appreciation for the stories you shared especially the people who served with him in the army or heard his life story in the Ty of WWll Thank you all for shading some more light on this precious person

May your memory be a blessing.

Martin - Sorry for you loss, your family was considered family for the Noyes clan on Lakeside Drive and we were sorry to here of Dr. Blum's passing. He was such a nice kind man as was your Mother and you! So neat to read others messages on here and learn more about him that some of us never knew about him. Sir,it was a honor to serve in the Army Reseve, with you. I want to share a memory, my daughter was in 4th grade had met the Col,multiple times and knew the high regard we held him ,for school she had to interview a hero and write a paper. She asked Col Blum ,he answered all her questions about the concentration camps, then mailed her photos of his documents. He was always teaching the value of cherishing people. Rest in peace sir.

I worked with your mom years ago. I heard a lot about her son and her husband. I am sorry for your loss.

Dr. Blum lived through the "worst" in WW2. May he live the "best" while at rest
