So sorry to hear about Leon! I've known him since he and Marie moved to St. Helena and Daniel was a baby (who Marie carried with her to Open Houses!!). they were both charming and kind and I worked with them for close to 30 years! Deepest Condolences to the family!

I knew Leon very peripherally, and that was many years ago. That's why I probably didn't know all the accomplishments that were listed in his obituary. All I would like to say is that it sounds as though Leon had a life well lived and I'm certain he will be missed.

I first met Leon at St. Helena Rotary in 1986. I was working for KVON/KVYN at the time and we struck up a friendship. I would later become a mortgage broker and because of Leon's real estate business, we had even more in common. At one point, he was looking to establish a home appraisal business and back at that time, mortgage brokers could pick who they worked with. It was a no-brainer for me to start working with Leon. I knew him to be a man of integrity and also give me the bad news...
