I spoke to Clay last month and he told me of Barbara's passing and how hard it was on him. Now I see that he died of a broken heart. My best memory was when we were fishing the flats in the lower keys and the bonefishing was so exciting that the tide went out and we were grounded ('till the tide went up again). Clay said "Bah-rouse, ya can have to beer, but your going overboard if ya touch the Vodka coolers!"
I'll so miss Clay and Barbara, God Bless and Rest in Peace!

My daughters and I will miss Clay and that ever present twinkle in his eye. You would think with his mischeivious ways he would not be a natural with children. Well, my three girls took to him immediately even when they were babies and looked forward to every opportunity to be in his company. Whether it was in Saranac or Parsons Green. We will miss him and love knowing he and Barbera are together in eternity.

I shall miss Mr. Clay's always teasing about myself addressing him as Mr. Clay , and his reply that if I did not respond correctly, he would put down more of that chicken manure.. and barbeque the next one of our steers to cross the fence!!!!!! Neighbors , John and Brenda Plantz.. we shall remember him fondly,,

When I hear about Clay last night, I was heartsick. Clay had become a pillar for me at TRF. His wisdom was something I valued so very much. His service, not only on the TRF Board, but as a member of the Executive Committee, was tremendous.
TRF has suffered a great loss. But I know that he is now with the love of his life, Barbara, and that takes a little of the sting away.
God Bless you, Clay.
