Emily & Christina I am so sorry to hear about Rusty passing. He was such a pleasure to run into when we went to Fruitland. He always watched out for me & my family anytime we went up there. Fruitland just won't be the same. Rusty will always have a large piece of my heart he was like a dad to me there. I will always think of him when I'm there he will never be forgotten. So sorry to hear the news. Rusty was definitely one of a kind! I don't know how many times he came down my driveway to check on me after Darrell died. We put his construction skills to work a few times - and if we didn't hire him he told us how to do it anyway! Most of all we enjoyed the times he would drop in after a long day, have a drink and see who could tell the biggest lie!

What a sweetheart who will be dearly missed by all. Fruitland has lost one...

I worked for Rusty for a short time when I was young & he showed me enough to last a life time he was the most self sufficient man I have ever met. I respect him very much, my best work and hunting memories were with Rusty, he was a salt of the earth man and he will be missed.
