My deepest condolences Sylvia and the entire Dement family for your loss. I had a such admiration and respect for Dr. Dement, a wonderful person and a great man. I worked closely with him in the GI Lab at BRGH from 1981- 2000. He was a caring physician and a loving family man. We spent many hours a day sitting next to each other during long endoscopy procedures talking about our families, current events and his interest in bird watching. He was such a wonderful person and role model for all. ...

I am so sad to hear of Leons homegoing. He will be SO missed here but SO welcomed in Heaven. He was one of the kindest most beautiful men Ive ever known. Lydia (his sweet cousin) kept me abreast of his journey and clearly Gods hand led it. Sylvia I am praying DAILY for you as you grieve. I pray Gods love will surround you during this sad time. I love you both so much and have such treasured memories of both you and Leon (our Whiz)♥

Dr Dement was a true gentleman. I enjoyed working with him. He was always kind, very caring of his patients and a dedicated professional. I will truly miss seeing his smiling face towering over everything as he came into the office. Rest easy, dear man.

Dr. Dement was such a sweet man and a great and compassionate doctor. I had the privilege of being one of his patients and for that I am thankful. Im so sorry to hear of his passing. His family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Dr. Dement
