Not sure what to say?

I feel very honoured to have spent time with Lon at Melissa's - he was a kind and gentle soul who always made me smile. His love for Nancy was truly inspirational- may they be at peace together.

Dear Doty family,
Sincere condolences to all of Lon's family. We enjoyed our times spent with the family. On the farm, at Pastels or wherever we would meet up. Lon was a unique man. Always a gentleman, always memorable. Now he is at peace along with Nancy. God Speed Lon. It was a pleasure knowing you.
Derry and Norma MacFarlane and family.

I remember the first time I shook Lon Doty's hand. It struck me that it was a large hand, but more, that it was a strong and genuine hand.
I can only thank Steve, Mike, Tim, and the Doty family for sharing their father with us. Lon taught many lessons; how to be confident yet humble, how to work hard yet be patient and more. I wonder if Lon knew what a tremendous impact he would have on me then and on the man I am now. I think he does.
I also remember the last time I shook Lon Doty's...

Doty Family, May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived -My sincere sympathy Florence Bernakevitch

In Memory of a Great Man

A great man in so many ways. Lon Doty will be missed. I was so fortunate to have met him at a young age while playing basketball at U of C in 1975. He was inspirational and encouraged my desires to succeed in so many ways. Yes he will be missed, but I am so thankful to have crossed paths with him and the whole family. He could always make me smile and he had compassion for the right things in life from perspective. Family and Fun.
You have made the world a better place and especially mine...

Steve, I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Peace and love to you and your family.

Dear Mike and Jennifer,
Lon was a remarkable example of a good person living a good life. It was a great privilege for me to meet him and experience his great generosity and support for a faith in action. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Lon.

Diane, John, Tim, Steve, Mike, and Mary Jane, my condolences to all of you and your families. Lon was a friend, a good man, a leader and a mentor. We are all better people for having known him.

I got to know Lon & Nan in Cochrane where we all worked for the betterment of the town on th Chamber of Commerce, & where Lon was Mayor for a time. He was always a consummate business person, a caring leader, & coach to a fledgling newspaper owner in town. I am grateful to have known the Dotys & offer my condolences. They were both lovely friends.
