Leon Halsey, of Lanexa, passed away in his home on November 22, 2010 in the presence of his loving wife Terry, brother Glenn, and sister-in-law Tounya. Born in Skinnersville, North Carolina, Leon served in the Army in Chicago in the 1940s and worked as a baker for 30 years at Thalhimer’s and the CW Foundation. Survivors include wife Terry of Virginia, sons Leon, Jr. of California, Robert Halsey of Arizona, and Blair of Texas and daughter Pamela of New Jersey. He leaves behind two grandchildren, Wynter Leigh of California and Alex Halsey of Arizona. He will also be greatly missed by 10 siblings: Juanita Stillman, Zealon Halsey, Dorothy Krank, Ann Kent, Mary Jean Williams, Frances Harris, Patricia Ambrose, Sheila Scott, Cynthia Vann, and Glenn Halsey.
