Not sure what to say?

Fr. Leon really understood what it meant to pastor his people. While at SS. Peter and Paul he never asked others to do what he was unwilling to do. Hence, we saw him at meetings for all the organizations in the parish from Altar Rosary Society to Holy Name, from Youth group to Separated/divorced ministry, etc. He participated in Crop Walks as well as traveling to DC for the Right to Life rally each January. When it was time to raise money via the parish raffle he spent at least one day...

I remember Fr. Leon from Sts. Peter & Paul church. He ran the SDC ministry for Separated/Divorced Catholics. There were seven of us in his group. He did a lot to help us all get on with our lives while remaining close to the Catholic faith.

Faiher Leon was a truly great priest who served his Lord with every ounce of his being. He will be sorely missed.

I can remember how reverant Fr. Leon was as he uttered the words."this is my body and this is my blood." during mass. Fr Leon could barely say these words, soo much did he love and repect our Lord and the wonder of the holy mass.
Rest in peace dear friend, amen, amen

Msgr. Leon was our religion teacher at Mater Dei High School back in the early 70's. He began every class with the same question; "What is love?" It was his way to get every one involved. Now some forty years later the answer to that question is HE WAS! By his examples and his deeds he taught every one of us who ever met him what love was. Enjoy heaven Father Leon and may His perpetual light shine on you forever!

I met Fr. Leon when he was at Sts. Peter and Paul and found he to be one of the most genuine, sincere and kind priests of my acquaintance. He was a wonderful pastor and a great one to have as a teen. Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord...

My lasting memory of Msgr. Leon will be the great reverence he had for the Holy Eucharist. It was so evident when he celebrated Mass, he'd pause and say the words, "This is my body." Msgr. Leon, a wonderful priest and friend.

God Bless You Msgr. Leon

Rest in Peace Msgr. Leon...
