Dear Katzinger Family, So very sorry to read of Mr. Katzinger's passing & that it took me so long to discover the notice. Our family loved everything about him as an educator and principal. He was a truly wonderful and caring man. May God comfort each of you as we cover you in prayer.

Jeri and family, I am so sorry to hear of Leon´s passing. He was a truly great educator and an even better person. I considered it a gift to have come to know such a kind, compassionate and truly interesting guy! He will be missed.

Joe, accept our condolences on the death of your father. Though we didn´t know him, seeing his name brought back memories of your high school days with Kim and the gang of girls. Hope you´re doing well and again, sorry for your loss. Judy and Bill Wisniewski

I have known Leon since grade school. He was a warm and unassuming man. I have not seen him in many years, but he is , in my opinion, an outstanding human being. The world needs more people like him. My condolences to his family.

Mr. Katzinger was my principal at the old Dorland school. Leon Katzinger was simply one of the finest men that I have ever met. He will be missed by many.

Mrs. Katzinger I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember going to your wedding it made such an impression on me. You allowed your class to come to your wedding. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Leon was a special person; he sincerely cared for people, had a wonderful sense of humor, an amazing knowledge of music (from the 50’s on), loved to read, loved history, but my strongest memory of Leon was his total commitment to his students. There was no stronger advocate for Bay City students. My prayers go out to Jerrilyn and the family.

He was a truly great guy, he was principal when 2 of my girls went to Linsday. We loved him, I am sorry to his family. He was one of the good guys.
