Gonic, NH: Leon T. “Lee” Laurion, 66, died Friday, November 17, 2006, at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Rochester after a period of failing health.

Mr. Laurion was born in Rochester on July 28, 1940 to the late Alfred G. Laurion and Flora Laurion. He was educated at St. Leo’s School in Gonic and Spaulding High School in Rochester.

He joined the Navy in 1957 until 1964. He was stationed in Norfolk, VA, and also New Mexico. Upon leaving the Navy he was employed at Simplex from 1964 to 1967, then he worked at Pratt and Whitney in CT for three years, then he worked at Avery-Combustion Engineers for ten years, then for Oasis in Gonic until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the Rochester Lodge of Elk’s.

He leaves behind his two children, Leon T. Laurion, Jr. and his wife Natalie and a step-granddaughter, Britania of Fort Lauderdale, Fl, and Anne-Marie R. Laurion, one grandson Alexander both of Dover, one brother Arthur Albert Laurion and wife Elaine of Rochester, two sisters, Rolande Bougie and husband Rheal of Rochester, and Doris Peabody and husband Charles of Somersworth, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Claire Gagnon.

Friends may call at the H. J. Grondin Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, NH on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, followed by burial in Mount Calvary in Gonic. To sign the on-line guest book please go to www.GrondinFuneralHome.com.
