Dear Leon, It has been a long time since I last saw you, but I want you to know that I appreciated all the work you did for NYSUT on our behalf and it was a pleasure working with you. I just read about the charity you have been running since we both retired and I really appreciated that. Thank you to your wife...I believe we have met, either at meetings near Albany or at conventions somewhere in the country or state. May you rest in peace, and thank you. Sincerely, Judy Allen

Leon was instrumental in helping me navigate all things certification. We became friends and I was honored to be invited to his retirement. He was an incredible man and I am grateful to have had him in my life.

Leon was such a wonderful kind man. One of the best I´ve ever known. My sincere condolences to Sally, his children and grandchildren.
