Not sure what to say?

To the family, Leon was a special friend when he lived in Macon. I haven't spoken with Leon in years. At the funeral, when the pastor spoke of Leon & his earnestness, quiet strength, his sincerity, & his humility, it immediately brought back many confirming memories of Leon. He was a vital member of the Tabernacle "Singles Rising to Shine" class.
Our prayers are with you, Larry & Jennie Bush

To the family of Leon Mathis:
I remember Mr. Leon from my childhood. He was always very kind and loving to us. We lived right across the street from him on Forsyth St. He would play softball with us when he wasn’t working. I know he will truly be missed by all.

Leon was a good friend and I know he is now with his best friend-Jesus. I was not able to talk with him the last few days but the last time I did, he was still upbeat and encouraging. No matter what happened, Leon trusted God to be in charge. I believe God is honoring him for His faith.

If his family would like them, I will have copies made of some pictures I have of him on vacations and send them.

Leon was our friend at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Macon during the 80's.
A special memory of Leon occurred at our wedding. He surprised everyone (including us) with a specially decorated pink vehicle and whisked s off "into the sunset" after our ceremony.
He was a creative and fun-loving member of our Christian singles group. We are so sorry to hear of his illness and suffering of recent days.
