Not sure what to say?

I know how much he meant to El Paso, but I know he meant more to you! His menmory will lve in you forever. God bless from Jeffrey and Diane Zielsdorf.

I my mind Leon Metz was the dean of western writers and I have not only read his books but I have researched his papers in the special collections library at UTEP. I do research on a ranch Leon visited while compiling his book John Selman Gunfighter. He will be missed by many of us and his kind is a rarity.

Cheryl, our deepest condolences to you for the loss of your husband Leon. May the Lord bless you in these hard and trying times. What a wonderful man he was to tell us the history of El Paso Texas. God bless you love Jeffrey Zielsdorf and Diane Martinez.

Rest In Peace cowboy your home now.

I did not personally know Mr. Metz, but I was very familiar with one of his books, "John Selman, Texas Gunfighter" When Selman was living in Throckmorton County, Texas ,he was a partner and close friend of John M. Larn, whose property my family owns today. Leon visited my parents, at our ranch, while he was writing his biography, and my parents took him to the Tecumseh ranch where John and his family lived. I am very grateful to Mr. Metz for writing his biography of John Selman

Condolences and prayers for the family. Our Heavenly Father will care for you in ways you cannot imagine, Rest In Peace Leon Metz.

A good man who was a friend to all and in the best western tradition , never met a stranger. Rest well my friend.

Leon will always stand in my heart as a giant of a man. He was warm, kind, caring, and ever the gentleman. I'll always cherish the memories of the times we spent with him and Cheryl. My heartfelt condolence to the Metz family.

My Condolences to Cheryl and all the Metz Family. Leon was a good friend. I met him in 2013 when I started working as a CNA at Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home. He will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace my friend. Till we meet again.
