Leon Willard Murphy

Leon was a faithful member of St. Matthew's, worshiping with us only two weeks prior to his death. We remember his family in our prayers, esp. Susan. "Absent from the body (he is ) present with the Lord."

I came to the Siskiyou NF in 1975, as the Forest Wildlife Biologist, and soon visited the Regional Office in Portland, and met "Murph." I liked him immediately. He was a nice person and a good guy, and he did a fine job leading the F&W folks in the region. My condolences.

Sue, we are so sorry to hear about your father. We know you will miss him dearly. We hope you find the strength and the love of god in these troubling times. Our hearts and prayers are always with you.

Leon was a wonderful, caring man and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Leon Murphy was a great friend of my dad and mom and a true joy to know. He was kind and told wonderful stories.

Leon Murphy was an amazing man! It's nice to think back to the many good memories. We are very sorry for the loss to his family and friends and are thinking of him fondly.

My condolences to the family. Murph was a great person. I had the pleasure of working for him in the Fisheries Bureau at Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game in 1965-66. He will be missed by us all.

I am sorry for your loss. I will miss my long time friend. Murph and I go back a long way.

I did not know Leon that well but I know his daughter for many years and know she loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by all.
