Leon was the brother of my grandfather – Mieczyslaw Piechowiak. There were times when we had a chance to talk to Uncle Leon together on the phone. And there is one of the phone calls that I will always remember. One the earliest, when my grandfather and his brother recalled their childhood and youth talking for more than two hours. In the better world they can cherish their memories as long as they feel like. And their memory lives on in our hearts.

We are very sorry for your loss....

Please accept our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy on the passing of Leon.

The Piechowiak Family from Poland,
Piotr Piechowiak (the son of Mieczyslaw, Leon’s Brother) with his wife Renata, daughters and their husbands Anna and Marek Latos, along with Katarzyna and Michal Fira, as well as Jerzy Piechowiak (also the son of Mieczyslaw) with his wife Anna and their children Justyna, Lukasz and Szymon.

Dearest Helen, Kevin and your families,
Our deepest sympathy to you all in these difficult times.
Remembering Leon and Helen fondly.

Enjoyed visiting with you today. What memories I have of your family! Even before you were born, your Mom and Dad treated me as their son. My earliest memory of 13 Vinton St. in Boston at the age of 4 or 5 yrs. Leon was always ready to share words of wisdom with me as a child. Looking around the room today I couldn't help see the tremendous legacy Leon left. After all, that's what life is all about. God Bless you and your families.
